Kowloon Bay in the 50s
Kowloon Bay was a restricted area. The Tanka (fishermen) could not go in, so we became fishing experts out of practice. Among us was a “fishing king”, who sold his yields in Kowloon City every day after work. No fishing boats were allowed to enter the area, stretching from the Kai Tak runway to the entire (unreclaimed) Kwun Tong water.
