The anterior façade of the Former Central Magistracy adopts a veranda design. Besides the front door, the Magistracy is also accessible by staff using a separate side door, which is decorated on the lintel by an elaborate rock carving of the royal family emblem. On the first floor you can find the offices for the chief secretary and quarters for Indian policemen; on the 2nd floor are quarters for married European superintendents and other staff.
