OBSERVATIONS | The hall towered over the low residential housing. It was the ritual centre of the clan, and also served as a venue for clan meetings. Originally it would have had no windows, but it had been restored in the 1930s and again later, and windows had been inserted to allow part of it to be used as a school, but none were added to the rear (third) section of the hall where the ancestor tablets were housed on three separate altars. |
