Based on his rich experience in bamboo scaffolding, Master Chan Siu-fan described the basic principles of bamboo scaffolding and explained how the simple principles could be applied to build scaffolds under various types of situations, such as slopes, exterior walls, hanging, ceiling and riverside. Mr Chan also had a track record of building specially designed scaffolds such as the hemispheric scaffold for the Hong Kong Space Museum and the largest ceiling scaffold for the Hong Kong Coliseum with more than 20,000 bamboos.
