The cultural waves from the West flew across the ocean, landed on the shores of Hong Kong, via the radio. Thanks to progressive radio show hosts such as Aileen Woods and Uncle Ray, Wong Jum-sum and his generation of youth learnt to open their ears to the plural world of Western pop.
