Little Companion Pictorial was one of the many children’s readers published in the 1960s, following the success of The Children's Paradise. Just as other children’s readers, Little Companion Pictorial was rich in content, embracing poems, short stories, riddles, jokes, and comics. The comics were usually inspired by folk tales or fairy tales. It was published by renowned publisher Liang You Tu Shu Gong Si in China where production was taken seriously, and hence was widely recommended by schools and parents.
