Content John Swire & Sons started its operation in Shanghai in 1867. It initially engaged in the import and export business through British trading companies. The China Navigation Company Ltd. (CNCo) was founded in 1872. With the increasing demand for ship maintenance, CNCo was given permission by the Hong Kong Government to develop a land plot near Causeway Bay into a dock, which was completed in 1907. The poster was rendered in meticulous skill and presented in the style of Western realism .
